During schooling and later years, Eleanor helped her parents with raising a vegetable farm and housekeeping. She met Ray Rose in 1944, and during their nine-year union, she had three children, Ray, Wanda and Judy. Her husband, Lee, passed away in 2002. She then resided with her daughter Judy in Owen, where they kept busy traveling, cooking, sewing, making memory bears (she was mama bear), embroidering, baking and playing Yahtzee games and enjoying visiting with all her family.
