Haas, Jacob Ryan (9 December 1977 - 20 November 2013)

Jacob Ryan Haas, 35, of Chetek passed on Wednesday November 20, 2013, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was born December 9, 1977, in Bloomer, WI, the son of Kenneth Haas and Pamela Haas.

Jake was raised on the farm east of Chetek and most recently drove semi for Jennie-O Turkey Store out of Barron. He was a very hard worker but took time off to spend with his family, which was most important to him. He also loved his Chevy truck and going back to the family farm where he would work the fields driving only the best tractors, “John Deere.” Jake was known to be a very organized and neat person and his family says he was getting “pretty good at throwing bean-bags.”

Jake is survived by his loving wife, Dana; children: Taitelynn and Brennen Haas, and James Humphrey. He will be sadly missed by his sidekick “Buddy”. He was the beloved son of Kenneth “Skipper” Haas, of Chetek; Pamela Haas, of Chippewa Falls, WI. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Eudra Shatley, of Barron, WI; father-in-law, Lee (Marg) Campbell, of Hillsdale, WI; and father-like figure, Jeff (Michele) Paulson. He was the fond brother of Justin (Amber) Haas, Jeremy Haas, Jediah (Kristin) Haas, Joanna (Logan) Schultz, Jessiah (Nicole) Haas, all of Chetek, WI; brother-in-law, Langdon (Ann) Walsh, of Pilot Mountain, NC, Wonza (Brandon) Marshall, of Greensboro, NC, Vivieca Deraitus, of Chetek, Lamis (Mike) Sanders, of Chippewa Falls, Dana (Pat) McDonald, of Farmington, MN. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Glenn and Joann Lee, Loretta Haas; and an Aunt Eileen Haas.

Funeral services for Jacob were at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2013, at Maranatha Evangelical Free Church, 3340 South Main Street, Rice Lake, WI, with Pastor Paul Green officiating. The visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday November 24, 2013, at the funeral home, and again at the church on Monday one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial followed at Lake View Cemetery in Chetek. All were welcome to honor him by wearing their ‘John Deere’ clothing.
