Wedding vows were spoken by Nora Anderson of Stanley and Donald Shoemaker of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) on Friday morning, May 29th, 1953 at the Lutheran Parsonage, Rev. Mason officiating.

Nora is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Anderson of Pleasant Valley. Donald is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Shoemaker of Butler (Clark Co.).

Nora chose as her wedding dress a white flocked organdy with matching hat and white accessories and carried a bouquet of red carnations. Her sister, Velma, was her bridesmaid, dressed in a mint green flocked organdy carrying white carnations and wearing a hat to match and shoe of white.

Dareld was his brother’s attendant and the men wore flowers of white carnations.

The groom’s mother wore a powder blue dress with white hat and accessories. Both mothers wore a corsage of white carnations and lilies of the valley.

Mr. and Mrs. Shoemaker are making their home on Franklin Street in Stanley. Donald is employed at that place.
