THORP - Thomas Mendalski, 72, Thorp, died Nov. 3, 1995, at Clairemont Nursing Home, Eau Claire.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Bernard’s - Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Thorp.

Burial was in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Thorp.

He worked at J&L Steel Works in Hammond, Ind., until retiring in 1980.

Surviving are his wife, Josephine of Thorp; two sons, Roy Mendalski of Thorp and Jimmy Mendalski of Minnesota; three daughters, Kathleen Dunigan of Hobart, Ind., Kristine Manns of Tennessee and Darlene Mitchell of Indiana; three sisters, Martha DiGangi and Bernice Pletka, both of Thorp, and Rose Sturek of Chicago, Ill.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
