Briggs, E. Maude (21 Oct. 1877 - 1 Aug. 1948)

Funeral services for Mrs. E. Maude Briggs, who died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bernard Cunningham, in Freeport, Ill., were held this afternoon. The Rev. Fred Smith conducted the services at 2:30 at the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby, where the body had been lying in state.

Eastern Star rites were held at the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery where the body was interred. Mrs. Briggs was a member of the Abbotsford Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Briggs, who was preceded in death by her husband, O. H. Briggs, is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Cunningham, one grand son, of Freeport, and a sister, Mrs. Cleves, of Holcomb.
