Daellenbach, Bertha #2 (1 Jan. 1882 - 15 Oct. 1948)

Funeral services for Mrs. John Daellenbach, 66 years old, who died of a cerebral hemorrhage, Friday, were held Monday afternoon, Oct. 18, at 1:30 at the Zink Funeral Home and at 2:00 o’clock at Christ Lutheran church, with the Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating.

During the rites held at the church a quartette composed of the Misses Inez and Bernardine Gust and Doris and Dorothy Kieser, sang "The Old Rugged Cross," "Asleep in Jesus," and "I’m But a Stranger Here."

Internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

The pallbearers were Alvin, Emil and Gust Uhlig, Albert Lindau, Arnold Laack, and Harry Emling.

The flowers were carried by the Misses Roberta, Rosemary and Karen Daellenbach, Luella and Ethel Hardrath.

Bertha Woempner Daellenbach was born in the town of Mayville, Jan. 1, 1882. After her marriage to John Daellenbach, Oct. 24, 1907, the couple made their home on a farm in the town of Mayville near Curtiss until 1941 when they sold their farm and came to Abbotsford, Wis.

Mrs. Daellenbach’s death came unexpectedly at her home, some time Friday afternoon, while at work.

While living on the farm Mrs. Daellenbach was a member of the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church, of Curtiss, and Ladies’ Aid, but after coming to Abbotsford joined Christ Lutheran church.

She is survived by her husband and four children, all of whom were here for the funeral: Emil, Abbotsford; Conrad, Rhinelander; Mrs. Herman (Martha) Haack, and Miss Rosa Daellenbach, Madison. There are nine grand children and two brothers, Charles Woempner, of Dorchester, and Fred Woempner, of Abbotsford, Wis.

Cox, Duluth, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Haack, Madison; Miss Rose Daellenbach, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Daellenbach, and family, Rhinelander; Mr. and Mrs. James Foster, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Joel Skoog and Vaughn, Prentice; Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Paul, Curtiss; Charles Woempner and sons, Dorchester; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hardrath and family, Riplinger; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Daellenbach, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Daellenbach and James, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Woempner and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daellenbach, Abbotsford, Wis.
