Schmidt, Marcia Mae (Marriage - 14 May 1949)

Miss Marcia Mae Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Schmidt, and Robert C. Heppner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Heppner, Sr., of Colby, Wisconsin were united in marriage, Saturday afternoon, May 14, at 2:00 o’clock at Christ Lutheran Church, with the Rev. O. J. Hoffman, of Colby, officiating.

Miss Geraldine Bowen, Abbotsford, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Alphonse Schraufnagel, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Roger Stoffel, aunt of the bride, both of Colby, Wis.

Acting as best man for his uncle, was James Lamont, of Abbotsford, Wis. Other attendants of the groom were Alphonse Schraufnagel and Roger Stoffel.

A dusty rose suit, complemented with white accessories, was worn by the bride. Gray, pastel green, and pastel blue suits, respectively, were worn by the bride’s attendants. Their accessories were white.

Dinner was served to 80 guests at the home of the bride’s parents and a wedding dance was held at Walter’s Pavilion, Colby, Wis.

Mrs. Heppner is a graduate of the Colby high school, and is employed at the Colby State Bank. Mr. Heppner has a milk route for the Marathon-Clark Cooperative Dairy at Abbotsford, Wis. The young couple will make their home at Colby, Wis.
