Hoeft, Marion L. (Marriage - 12 June 1949)

Sunday, June 12, was chosen by Miss Marion L. Hoeft for her marriage to Allen J. Pudleiner because it was the silver wedding anniversary of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Pudleiner, of Dorchester, Wis.

The bride, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hoeft, was given in marriage by her father in a ceremony performed in Christ Lutheran Church at 2:30 with the Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating. She wore a floor length gown of white marquisette over satin with satin applique, designed with a hoop skirt and leg omitting sleeves. A beaded tiara held her finger tip veil. She carried an all white bouquet of gardenias, carnations and roses with lilies of the valley tied to the satin ribbon showers.

Powder blue colonial frocks with hoop skirts were worn by the bride’s three attendants. They wore matching mitts and head pieces and carried nosegay bouquets of carnations, snap dragons, roses and babies’ breath. Miss Evelyn Hoeft, Milwaukee, sister of the bride, was maid of honor; Miss Marion Pudleiner, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Clarence Hoeft of Rothschild, sister-in-law of the bride, were bridesmaids.

The groom was attended by Gordon Seidel, Milwaukee, a friend, as best man, and Anthony Beck, of Colby, and Clarence Hoeft, of Rothschild. The ushers were Howard and Willard Hoeft, of Chippewa Falls, cousins of the bride.

For the occasion the bride’s mother had chosen a dress of aqua with brown accessories and wore a corsage of yellow roses and white carnations.

The groom’s mother wore navy with white accessories. Red roses and white carnations were combined in her corsage.

The groom’s grand mother, Mrs. Anna Lang, of Dorchester, also was attired in a dress of navy with which she wore a corsage of mixed flowers.

During the ceremony, Herbert Juneau was organist and also sang "O Perfect Love," and "Because."

After a 5:00 o’clock dinner, served in the church dining room, and a reception at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pudleiner left on a trip to Northern Wisconsin and Canada.

Mr. and Mrs. Pudleiner will make their home at Madison where both are employed. The bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school and the groom of the Dorchester high school.
