Rilling, Winnifred Dorothea (Marriage - 21 Oct. 1950)

Miss Winnifred Dorothea Rilling, of Wausau, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Rilling, of Abbotsford, was given in marriage by her father to Joseph George Ourada, of Wausau, Saturday evening, Oct. 21. The double ring service was read at 7:00 o’clock by the Rev. R. H. Kieley, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, of Wausau, in the home of the bride at Pinecrest. The fireplace, which was the setting for the ceremony, was banked with ferns, lighted yellow tapers in candelabra, baskets of bronze and white chrysanthemums and yellow ribbon.

The bride was attired in an oxford gray wool dressmaker suit to which a corsage of white orchids was pinned. She wore a blue hat with rhinestone trim. Miss Althea Rilling, Abbotsford, attended her sister as maid of honor in a gray dressmaker suit with flamingo hat. Her corsage was composed of Talisman roses.

The groom, the son of Mrs. Mary Ourada, of Antigo, was attended by his brother, George, also of Antigo.

Mrs. Rilling, mother of the bride, wore a brown dress with matching accessories accented by a corsage of yellow roses and bronze mums. Mrs. Ourada, mother of the groom, wore a wine colored ensemble and a corsage of pink roses and white mums.

A reception for about 250 guests was held at the bride’s home from 7:30 to 9:30 o’clock, during which the bride cut a large, three tiered wedding cake and the Misses Fay Olson and Josephine Hammond, of Wausau, poured. Following the reception, a wedding dance was held at the Marathon Fish and Game Club.

Guests from away who attended were from Antigo, Green Bay, De Pere, Milwaukee, Marshfield, Colby, Dorchester, Minneapolis, and Abbotsford, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Ourada left on a wedding trip to Michigan and Ontario, Canada, and after Nov. 1 will make their home at Pinecrest.

The bride is employed by the Pied Piper Shoe Co., and the groom by the Underwood Veneer Co., Wausau.
