George Orth was born Jan. 7, 1886, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Orth, on a farm southwest of Colby, Wis. He lived there until his marriage to Miss Anna Domer, which took place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, April 16, 1912. For three years, Mr. and Mrs. Orth lived on a farm south of Colby and then moved to a farm two miles east and one-half mile north of Abbotsford where they have resided since.

Mr. Orth underwent surgery at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, on Monday of last week and seemed to be making good progress. On Saturday afternoon his condition took a turn and death came at 7:50 p.m.

He is survived by his widow and five children: Myron, Owen; Mrs. Albert (Marie) Bramucher, Medford; Mrs. Ernest (Marjorie) Kugel, Milwaukee; Raymond, Abbotsford; and Mrs. Roy (Ermine) Singstock, of Colby, Wis. There are 11 grand children.

Many relatives and friends from this vicinity attended the funeral. Among those from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Orth, of Kaukauna.
