At a pretty candlelight ceremony Saturday, Jan. 5, 1952, Miss Marlene Cleo Ruosch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ruosch of Woodville, exchanged nuptial vows with Robert Earl Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas of Greenwood (Clark County, Wis.). The double ring ceremony was performed at 2:00 p.m. in the Lutheran Church, Woodville, with Rev. Morris N. Peterson officiating.

Miss Geraldine Mulvaney played pre-nuptial music and the bridal party entered to the strains of Lohengrin's Wedding March.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a white slipper satin gown with a long train and fashioned with long fitted sleeves. Her fingertip veil had a tiara of Calla lilies of the same material, with a calla lily design on the dress bodice. Her bouquet was of red roses and white pompoms.

Miss Patricia Roe, Woodville, friend of the bride, as bridesmaid, wore a yellow gown and carried an orchid pompom bouquet.

Nola Jean Ruosch, sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid and wore a green taffeta gow, carrying a bouquet of yellow pompoms.

Gowned in a dress identical to the junior bridesmaid, Gretchen Bye, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Her flowers were also yellow pompoms.

All the bridal attendants wore flowers in their hair to match their gowns.

The groom's best man was his brother, Arnold Thomas of Greenwood. His other attendant was an uncle of the bride. George Young Jr. of Duluth. All the men were attired in dark suits with white carnation boutonnieres.

The ring bearer was Richard Thomas, a nephew of the groom from Greenwood.

Her matron of honor was Mrs. Arnold Thomas, sister-in-law of the groom of Greenwood, who wore an orchid gown and carried yellow pompoms.

Usherettes were Miss Dorothy Sherland and Miss Donna Jean Young, wearing aqua floor length gowns.

Miss Lorraine Johnson sand "O Perfect Love" preceding the ceremony and "The Lord's Prayer" following.

The bride's mother wore a corsage of pink carnations and white pompoms, while the groom's mother had a corsage of red roses and white pompoms.

Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors, which were decorated in yellow and white. A three-tier wedding cake adorned the bridal table.

As her going away attire, the bride wore a winter white dress and hat with green accessories.

After a short wedding trip the young couple will make their home on the groom's farm at Greenwood.

Robert and Willard Scheuring of Greenwood took flashbulb pictures during the ceremony and at the home.
