Kettel, Hazel (Marriage - 6 Apr. 1951)

Of interest to residents of this community is the announcement of the marriage of Miss Hazel Kettel, of Vermont, and Claude Apfelbeck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Apfelbeck, of Colby, Wis. The marriage took place Friday evening, April 6, at 9:00 o’clock in St. Juliana’s Catholic church, in Edison Park, Illinois, with the Rev. Fr. Conrad officiating.

Attending the couple were the groom’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Lyton Weber, and his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Apfelbeck, of Abbotsford, Wis.

The bride wore a tan suit with a shoulder corsage, and her attendants wore blue suits, with shoulder corsages of mixed spring flowers. Following the ceremony, the bridal party and friends were served a wedding supper at the Sullivan Nite Club.

The groom has been employed for the past two years in Chicago in trucking and bulldozing work and will leave April 18 for service in the army.
