Krouse, Betty Jane (Marriage - 2 Oct. 1953)

Miss Betty Jean Krouse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Krouse, Dorchester, and Duane Robert Elstrom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Elstrom, Abbotsford, Rotue 1, exchanged marriage vows, Friday evening, at St. Peter’s Lutheran church, Dorchester, Wis. The double ring ceremony took place at 8:00 o’clock, with the Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating.

The bride wore a waltz-length nylon net and lace over white satin gown. The bodice featured a Queen Anne neck line and long sleeves. Her finger-tip veil, lace-trimmed, fell from a bonnet of lace, and she carried a shower bouquet of red roses and white baby mums.

Satin, topped with net and lace, fashioned the waltz-length, strapless gowns selected by the three attendants. Miss Nancy Jane Larson, Duluth, Minn., as maid of honor was gowned in yellow net and lace, and carried a colonial bouquet of yellow and white carnations. Miss Shirley Elstrom, Colby, sister of the groom, and Miss Arla Brecke, Stetsonville, bridesmaid, were gowned in green and carried colonial bouquets of green and white carnations and wore matching hats.

Sharon Zimmerman, niece of the bride, Minneapolis, the flower girl, wore a white satin, floor-length dress with ruffled neckline and hip line and carried a nosegay of yellow, green, and white carnations.

Richard Nunan, Minneapolis, brother-in-law of the bride, was best man. Donald Elstrom, Highwood, Ill., and Charles Elstrom, Lake Forest, Ill., both brothers of the groom, acted as groomsmen. James Koski, Loyal, nephew of the groom, carried the rings on a satin pillow.

Mrs. Krouse, mother of the bride, wore a blue dress and the mother of the groom, chose one of aqua. Both had black accessories and wore corsages of red roses and white baby mums.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the club house and a wedding dance and midnight supper, at Memorial Hall, Dorchester, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Elstrom are making their home at Lake Forest, where he is employed as a carpenter.

Guests attending the wedding were from Duluth, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Chippewa Falls, Chicago, Highwood, Lake Forest, Spencer, Unity, Loyal, Dorchester, Colby, and Abbotsford, Wis.
