Karow, Augusta (22 AUG 1869 - 24 FEB 1952)

 

Mrs. Herman Karow, pioneer resident of Clark County, passed away quietly at her farm home north of Withee early on the morning of February the 24th after a lingering illness.

 

Funeral services were conducted at the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) by Rev. H. D. Wagner of the Alliance Church on Wednesday, Feb. 27th at 2:30 p.m.  Pallbearers were Wm. Park. Arno Vater, Rex Copper, O.E. Parkinson, Wesley Siggelkow and Sabin Scherf.

 

Mrs. Karow was born in Kenosha Co., Wis., on Aug. 22, 1869.  He husband preceded her in death by nearly twenty years.  The first years of their married life were spent in Silver Lake, Wis.  They moved to Withee in the year of 1902.

 

Leaving to mourn her loss are four children, Dr. E. E. Karow, Kaukauna; (Missed name), Berwyn, Ill.; Mrs. Ida Wilson, Curtiss, Wis. and Arthur Karow, Withee, Wis.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Matilda Gauger, Wilmot, Wis.; Mrs. Amanda Lubkeman, Bristol, Wis.; Mrs. Alvena Moecker, Mt. Vernon, Wash., and Mrs. Alma Ozburn, Chicago, Ill.

 

Relatives attending the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. S. Bushing, Berwing, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. George Makers, Minneapolis, Minn.; Dr. E. E. Karow, Kaukauna, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. e. H. Wilson, Curtiss, Wis.; Mrs. Elvin Raasch, Stetsonville, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wilson Jr., Stetsonville, Wis.; Mrs. Alan Hirsch, St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Amanda Lubkeman, Bristol, Wis.; Mrs. Tillie Gauger, Wilmot, Wis.; Mrs. Alma Ozburn, Chicago, Ill; Ray Loffhagen, Minneapolis; Tom Parker, Kenosha, Wis.; Mrs. Harry Mach, Kenosha, Wis.; Frank Karow Sr., Ortonville, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. frank Karow Jr., Ortonville, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Karow, Burlington, Wis.; Mr. O.
