Weis, Marjorie A. (30 JUL 1932 - 23 JUL 2009)

 

Marjorie Alice Weis, 76, Spencer, Wisconsin, died on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at the Golden Living Center—Continental Manor, Abbotsford, Wis. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, July 29, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Spencer, where she was a long time member. The Rev. Charles Stoetzel officiated. Burial was in the West Spencer Cemetery.

Marjorie Alice Gennett was born on July 30, 1932, in Marshfield, to Mark and Monica (nee Endreas) Gennett. She attended Spencer schools. She married Donald Weis on Oct. 15, 1949. They owned and operated a dairy farm in Unity, until retirement brought them to Spencer. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially playing cards and scrabble. She was an avid Packer fan, and loved to listen to Elvis and Johnny Cash music.

Survivors include her children, Bonnie (Michael) Jelinek, Wausau, Beverly (John) Bohte, Wausau, Linda (Charles) Smith, Colby, Diane (Thomas) Beyerl, Wausau. Jeffrey (Carol) Weis, Mosinee, and Richard (April) Weis, Wausau; a son-in-law, Sam House, Roselle, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Esther Bauer; and one brother, Roger Gennett.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Donald, on Aug. 13, 1999; three infant sons, Mark, Donald, and William; a daughter, Cynthia Jo House; and two sisters, Joanne Weis and Betty Hanson.
