GREENWOOD, WIS. -- Goldean D. Steffen, 84, of Greenwood, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Golden LivingCenter-Three Oaks in Marshfield. 
 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Christie. Burial will be in the Greenwood City Cemetery. 
 

Visitation will be held at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services. 
 

Cuddie Funeral Home of Greenwood is assisting the family with arrangements.

GREENWOOD, WIS. -- Goldean D. Steffen, 84, of Greenwood, Wisconsin died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at the Golden LivingCenter-Three Oaks in Marshfield. 
 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Christie. Burial will take place in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. 
 

Goldean "Goldie" Dorene Brockney was born April 22, 1925, in Elma, Iowa, to Fred and Clara (Flugge) Brockney. She was united in marriage to Arthur R. Steffen on July 10, 1946, in Riceville, Iowa, and they moved to Wisconsin on Feb. 2, 1959. They bought a farm in the town of Eaton, south of Greenwood, and farmed until 1982. 
 

She is survived by her five children, Linda (Mike) Schneider of Brookfield, Jimmy Steffen, Dennis Steffen, Darla Steffen and Susan Steffen, all of Greenwood; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 
 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, on Aug. 29, 2005. 
 

Cuddie Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
