Delbert L. "Del" Hardrath, 56, Schofield, formerly of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston.

 
A celebration of Del’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford, Wis. The Rev. Patricia Herdt will preside. Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home in Abbotsford from 9 a.m. until time of services.

SCHOFIELD -- Delbert L. "Del" Hardrath, 56, of Schofield, formerly of Abbotsford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Saint Clare's Hospital in Weston. 
 

A celebration of Del's life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2009, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford, Wis. The Rev. Patricia Herdt will officiate.  
 

His family will receive relatives and friends Thursday at the funeral home in Abbotsford from 9 a.m. until time of services. Greg Pehlke, Phil Nelson, Victor Bellomy and Mark Oldenberg will act as his pallbearers. 
 

Del was born Nov. 20, 1952, in Marshfield to Leland and Faith (Waterhouse) Hardrath.  
 

He attended both Colby Elementary Grade School and Colby High School. He furthered his education by attending Northcentral Technical College in Wausau for training as a parts specialist. 
 

Delbert married the former Sharon Raczykowski on June 16, 1973, at the United Methodist Church in Colby, Wis.  
 

Del worked as a supervisor at Hurd Windows in Merrill until 2004. Along with Sharon, Del became a owner/operator of a supper club in Loretta, which they later sold. In 2008, Del became employed by Per-Mar Security Co. and was assigned as a security officer at St. Clare's Hospital in Weston, where he proudly worked until his health prevented him from doing so. For those lucky enough to know Del, he was a kind-hearted man who could make friends with anyone. In his spare time he loved spending time with his family and grandkids. 
 

He is survived by his wife, Sharon, of Schofield; his children, Tricia (Mark) Oldenberg of Eau Claire and Tara (Victor) Bellomy of Eagle River; his grandchildren, Ashley Kulas, Jake and Erica Oldenberg, Dakota and Sienna Bellomy.  
 

Del is further survived by his siblings, Steven (Kathy) Hardrath of Baker City, Ore., Corrine (Bernard) Hatch of Milwaukee, Dory (Scott) Combs of Seal Beach, Calif., Lorie (Timothy) Hodkiewicz of Friendship, Mary Hoffman of Abbotsford, Tina (David) Richmond of Champaign, Ill., Sarah (James) Krueger of Marshfield, Lesa (Steven) Zehner of Oshkosh and Lester (Denise) Sonnemann of Marshfield; his mother and father-in-law, Walter and Diann Raczykowski of Phillips; as well as many other relatives and friends. 
 

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents.
