Miss Audrey Rhyner spent the week end with Miss Bonnie Leichtnam. The Rhyner family moved from here to Rockford, Ill., but Miss Rhyner is attending school at Thorp this year and staying with her sister, Mrs. Lee Biddle. 
 

Mrs. Anna Baehr and Mrs. Herbert Wilhelmi visited at the August Luhrsen home Sunday afternoon. This was Mrs. Baehr’s first time out since her illness. 
 

The former Joe Reis home is being moved from Wuertzburg and will be placed on a foundation just north of the George Calmes house. 
 

Louis Hoeft is a patient at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield. He was to have had x-rays taken this week. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bobbe and Mr. and Mrs. George Stump attended the funeral of Fred Langbecker at Athens Monday afternoon. 
 

Mrs. Joe Reis, who has been ill with pneumonia at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Calmes, is reported as improving. 
 

Mrs. Joseph Les and Mrs. C. J. Gresey, Chicago, returned Saturday night, having come Friday morning to attend the funeral of Roger Lukas. The ladies are sisters of Mrs. Frank Lukas. 
 

Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Kuehnast on Saturday night were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Thompson, of Wausau. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Delos C. Luhrsen and son, Billy, of Stevens Point, visited his father, August Luhrsen, Saturday afternoon and then went to Colby to the Witte home. Mr. Luhrsen visited here again on Sunday. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Royal Archambo and family and her mother, Mrs. Jake Nikolay, were at Rozellville, Wednesday night of last week to help celebrate the birthday anniversary of Adam Illig, brother of Mrs. Nikolay. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Wepfer and Myron Wepfer attended a Studebaker business meeting at Eau Claire, on Monday night. 
 

Among those from this area who will serve on the jury when the Circuit Court convenes this spring are Don Armstrong, Abbotsford; Ernest Schultz, town of Colby. On the reserve list are Arnold Rannow, and Sherman Loos, Colby; and Harvey Kasper, town of Colby. 
 

Friends helped Mrs. Roy Peterson celebrate her birthday anniversary, Wednesday afternoon. They were Mrs. Ed Beck and Mrs. Du Wayne Bulgrin, Owen; Mrs. Lee Smiley and two daughters, and Mrs. Alfred Thompson, Mrs. Floyd Buchanan and daughter, Joyce, Curtiss; and Mrs. G. Phaneuf, Abbotsford.
