Turner, Grace Mae (28 AUG. 1884-10 JAN. 1946)

 

Mrs. Newell Turner, the former Grace Mae Walls, passed away at her home in the town of York at 9:40 Thursday morning, Jan. 10, having reached the age of 61 years, five months and 13 days.

 

Funeral services were held from the Gilbertson funeral home at Granton, the Rev. Myron E. Taylor officiating, burial being in the Loyal cemetery. Mrs. Turner, the daughter of Lawrence and Emma Walls, was born on Aug. 28, 18984, in the town of Loyal, having been a resident of Clark county her entire life.

 

On June 1, 1904, she was united in marriage to Allie Turner of the town of York. To this union was born one child, Mrs. Carl (Velma) Buddinger, also of the town of York. He preceded her in death.

 

On Feb. 25, 1920, she was united in marriage to Newell Turner of the town of York, having lived on his farm until three years ago, when they sold it and moved to their present home just across the road.

 

The deceased is survived by her husband and daughter; five sisters, Mrs. Mable McKenzie of  Marshfield, Nellie Churchille of Shelton, Wash., Nettie Jones of Milwaukee, Flossie McKensie of Valley, Wash, and Jessie Haywood of Spokane, Wash. One sister, Lizzie died in infancy. Two brothers, William and George also preceded her in death.

 

The pallbearers were George Dahl, Hubert Free, Harmon Huntley, Henry Grosnick and William and Rollie Benedict. The flower girls were Miss Doris Dahl, Mrs. Margaret McNaul, Mrs. Ray Chase and Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence.

 

The Tribune extends to the survivors its sympathy in their loss.
