Karaba, Mathilda (13 JUN 1953)

Miss Mathilda Karaba, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vendel Karaba, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Walter Pawlukiewicz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pawlukiewicz, Owen, were united in marriage Satureday by the Rev. Eugene Konopka at St. Stanislaus Church, Lublin.

The bride approached the altar attired in a nylon net and lace over satin gown designed with a three-tiered full length train.  The long sleeved bodice of the gown was trimmed with a lace panel front.  The fingertip veil attached to a pearl tiara was also trimmed with lace.  The bride’s bouquet consisted of red roses and white carnations.

Miss Betty Karaba, in a yellow ballerina length dress of lace and net with an apron effect accented by a picture hat of the same color and carrying a cascade bouquet of peach tea roses, was maid of honor for her sister.

Bridesmaids were Dea Karaba, sister-in-law, and Margie Karaba, sister of the bride.  They wore orchid and aqua gowns, respectively, similar to the maid of honor’s.

The groom’s attendants were his brother Frank Pawlukiewicz Jr., bet man, a cousin, Vincent Pomietlo, Stanley, and brother-in-law, John Karaba, Milwaukee.

The bride’s mother was present in an aqua dress while the groom’s mother wore a navy blue dress.  Both wore white accessories and corsages of red roses and white carnations.

After the ceremony a supper was served to 250 guests at St. Hedwig’s Hall, Thorp, followed by a dance.

When the newlyweds return from a honeymoon in Canada they will reside in Milwaukee.

Guests from Fort Dodge, Iowa, Milwaukee, Chicago, Wisconsin Rapids, St. Cloud, Minn., Madison and Stanley attended the wedding.
