Denny, Frank (15 JUN 1871 - 25 JUN 1954)

 

Frank Denny, 83, retired railroad worker died early Friday morning, June 25th, 1954 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley where he had been admitted the day previous.

 

He had been in failing health for the past several months but nevertheless was up and about the city until last Thursday forenoon.

 

Funeral services were held at two o’clock Monday afternoon from Griebenow’s Funeral Home with Rev. D. Rheasa, pastor of St. Katherine’s Episcopal Church, officiating.  Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were Henrick Sorenson, Maryin Sedwig, John Kozlowski, John Kovoalski, Peter Larsen and John Miller.  In charge of the floral offerings were Ruth Arp, Edna Mae Beck, Carol Kangas and Darlene Burhop.

 

Mr. Denny was born on June 15, 1871.  For the past 30 years he had lived in this community (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) working as a section man on the railway.  Fifteen years ago he retired but continued to live in Owen.

 

He is survived by a sister, Myrtle Nelsin, who lives in Sioux Falls, S.D.
