Larson, Mathea (21 Aug. 1869 - 3 Mar. 1954)  
 

Funeral services for Mrs. Lars Larson, 84, who died at her home, Wednesday morning at 1:30 will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Evangelical and Reformed church at Curtiss, with the Rev. O. K. Odland officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Zink Funeral home until Saturday.  
 

Mrs. Larson was born Mathea Amundson, in Norway, Aug. 21, 1869. In July of 1888, she and her older sister, Anna, came to live with their aunt, Mrs. Hans Olson in the town of Hull. On Sept. 1, 1888 she was married to Lars Larson at Amherst and the young couple came to live on the farm, west of Abbotsford, where she had resided until her death.  
 

Last July, Mrs. Larson fractured her hip, but was only seriously ill since Sunday. 
 

Mrs. Larson was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed church and the Ladies’ Aid, of Curtiss.  
 

She is survived by nine children: Mrs. Albert (Louise) Bakke and Mrs. Arthur (Alma) Thompson, of Curtiss; Martin, at home; Mrs. Marius (Agnes) Hansen of Seymour; Oscar, of Woodburn, Ore.; Emma, Wausau; Mabel, of Menasha; Mrs. Kenneth (Helen) Kramer, of Belleville; and Malcolm, of Weyauwega.  
 

There are 14 grand children and seven great grand children. One brother, at Clam Lake and two brothers in Norway, also survive. Mr. Larson died March 28, 1934, and a daughter, Ruth, in 1930.  
 

All of the children will be here for the funeral, except a son, Oscar, who was here to visit his mother last October.
