Oehler, Betty Lou (Marriage - 18 Dec. 1954) 
 

In an afternoon ceremony performed at Christ Lutheran Church of Abbotsford on Saturday. Miss Betty Lou Oehler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Oehler of Abbotsford became the bride of Robert John Mueller, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mueller, also of Abbotsford. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated at the 2:00 o’clock double ring ceremony, at which time the bride was given in marriage by her father. Herbert Juneau sang two selections during the services, "O Promise Me" and "The Lord’s Prayer." 
 

The bride’s gown was designed with a fitted bodice of Chantilly lace, detailed with a sweetheart neckline and long lace sleeves that came to points at the wrists. The full skirt was formed of a lace apron effect front over tiers of net and satin. Her short cape shape veil was trimmed with tiny seed pearls and inserts of pleated net. Her bouquet was of red roses and white carnations tied with white ribbon and blue beads. 
 

Miss Donna Miller, Abbotsford, niece of the groom, attended the bride as maid of honor, while Mrs. Walter Miller of Marshfield and Mrs. Lorraine Manthe of Abbotsford were bridesmaids. The bridal attendants were dressed identically in ballerina length gowns with skirts of net over taffeta, and velvet bodices and bolero jackets. They wore matching head pieces trimmed with tiny seed pearls, and matching blue slippers. The maid of honor carried yellow carnations and white pompons tied with yellow ribbon and the bridesmaids’ floral pieces were pink carnations and white pompons, tied with pink ribbon. 
 

Ronald Graffunder, Abbotsford, cousin of the bride, attended the groom as best man. Walter Miller of Marshfield, nephew of the groom, and Fred Kieser, Abbotsford, acted as groomsmen. Donald Oehler, brother of the bride, and Myron Greaser, friend of the groom, were ushers. 
 

The bride’s mother wore a navy dress with black accessories and the groom’s mother was dressed in a black accessories. Their corsages were alike, of yellow and white roses. 
 

A reception was held at the bride’s home from 3:00 to 5:00 o’clock, and a 6:00 o’clock supper was served in the church basement for about 150 guests. A dance was held at the Dorchester Memorial Hall in the evening. Relatives and friends attended from Minneapolis, Milwaukee, La Crosse, Jefferson City, Appleton, Park Falls, Spencer, Medford, Marshfield, Catawba, and Abbotsford. 
 

The bride is a graduate of Lincoln high school of Park Falls and attended Eau Claire State college for one year. The groom is a graduate of Abbotsford high school and operates the LP Gas Services and Appliances. 
 

When they return from a short honeymoon they will live in Abbotsford.
