Pvt. Alvin Peterson came Saturday from Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. He is on an emergency leave until Nov. 1, as his father, Albert Peterson, is very ill, at home. He is staying with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kramer, and family. 
 

The Clovernook Homemakers Club met Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Al Beyerl. Mrs. G. H. Riedel gave the lesson on winter bouquets. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. William Steffen left Wednesday for Milwaukee to be gone until Friday. Their two daughters are staying with Mrs. Vern Steffen. They will attend a Plymouth meeting at the auditorium Thursday, and when they return they will go to Menasha to get his aunt, Miss Margaret De Noble, who will spend the week end here. 
 

Ed Sybeldon spent Monday on business in the town of Bradely and at Tomahawk at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schwab and family. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Smith and two daughters and a friend, of Mt. Prospect, Ill., came Friday to get her mother, Mrs. Eli Mittelstadt, who will spend the winter months there and with other children at Bluffton, Ind. They left Saturday. 
 

Don’t forget to gather items for the rummage sale for the Parents of School Musicians Association. Sale date is Nov. 6. 
 

Mrs. Frank Lukas and Mrs. Norman Lukas were hostesses at the meeting of the Women’s Catholic Order of Foresters held Tuesday evening at the armory club rooms.
