Severin, Helen  (04 JULY 1946)

Miss Helen Severin of Albert Lea, Minn. exchanged wedding vows with Harold John Davel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Davel of Loyal, in a nuptial ceremony at the Central Methodist church in Winona, Minn., at 11 a.m. on July 4. The Rev, Teska officiated.

Miss Gretchen Severin of Albert Lea, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Ronald Severin, nephew of the bride, was best man.

A wedding dinner was served at the Winona hotel.

The bride is a graduate of the Whitewater State Teachers college, where she received her bachelor of education degree. She has taught school at Palmyra. The groom is a graduate of the Loyal high school with the class of 1933. He attended two years of college at Stevens Point and then taught school in different places until 1942, when he enlisted in the army, serving there for three years and eight months with 22 months overseas. He is now attending the summer session at Stevens Point, where he expects to receive his bachelor’s degree.

The newlyweds spent a few days in Winona. They also visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Davel here, where they had a reception for the bride and groom on Sunday, July 7.

The bride expects to return to AlbertLea, where she has a position for the summer. She will return here later on for the groom’s graduation and a more extended honeymoon in northern Wisconsin, before returning to Palmyra, where they will both teach this coming year.

To the newlyweds, The Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for happiness.
