Struensee, Julie Ann (Marriage - 19 June 1982)

After being escorted to the church by a horse and buggy, The Rev. Howard Ott married Julie Ann Struensee and Calvin Hagen in Saturday, June 19, ceremonies.  The Neillsville United Methodist Church was the site for the nuptials.

Parents of the couple are Erdine Struensee, Rt. 1, Neillsville and the late Richard Struensee; and Herman Hagen, 215 East Division St., Neillsville, and the late Helen Hagen.

Serving as matron of honor was Nancy Zschernitz, the bride’s sister of Neillsville.  She was joined by Annette Marty and Donna Eddy, both friends of the bride from Neillsville.

Jim Zschernitz, a friend of the groom, was best man.  Joining him were Bruce Wagner, a friend, and Terry Zschernitz, the bride’s brother-in-law.  All were from Neillsville.  Ushering were LeRoy Oldham, uncle of the bride from Neillsville, and Ron Morneau, a friend from Marshfield.

Special music at the service was offered by Cindy Falteisek, Barb Richmond and Philip Nelson.

The bride chose a gown featuring a Victorian yoke with ruffled Chantilly lace forming cape sleeves and A-line skirt with ruffled and flounced hemline that swept to a cathedral train.  She carried a bouquet of pink roses with baby’s breath. The groom and his attendants were attired in gray Bedford-style tuxedos.

Following the service, a reception was held at the Wildcat Inn with a dance following at the Neillsville American Legion Hall.

The wedding cake was made by the bride’s mother.

The couple is making their home on East Ninth St., Neillsville.
