Turenne, Violet (28 July 1941 - 21 October 2009)  
 

Violet Turenne of Petersburg, IL (formerly of Withee, WI), passed away on October 21, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL. 
 

Violet was born on July 28, 1941, to John and Florence Kaplia in Chicago, IL.  She graduated in 1959 as valedictorian of Owen-Withee High School.  In August of 1962, she graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing.  She married Philip Turenne on September 1, 1962. 
 

She worked as director of Nursing at Victory Medical Hospital, Stanley, WI, and was also later at Clintonville Community Hospital, Clintonville, WI.  She then worked for the State of Illinois for 10 years. 
 

Violet was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; sister, Justine; and nephew, Steven.   
 

She is survived by her husband, Philip, and nieces: Diana, Michelle, and Reyene.  
 

Lincoln Land Cremation Society of Springfield, IL was in charge of arrangements.  A memorial Mass will be held at a later date in Thorp, WI.
