Yoker, Hannah (May 17, 1844 - June 29, 1911)

Mrs. Hannah Yoker was born Hannah Beyer in Germany on May 17, 1844.  She was united in marriage to Albert Yoker and they came to the United States and settled in Neillsville in 1865.  Here Mr. Yoker plied his trade as a stone mason for many years and he died 17 years ago.  Mrs. Yoker was the mother of twelve children, but four of whom survive her.  The children are Adolph Yoker of Gresham, Ore., Mrs. W. Wettstin of Sparta, Miss Minnie Yoker and Oscar Yoker of this city.  She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Ferd. Knoop, residing west of this city, and two brothers, Wm. and Hm. Beyer of Oregon.

Mrs. Yoker died Thursday at an Eau Claire hospital, having underwent an operation Wednesday.  The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the German Lutheran Church of which she was a member.  Interment was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Mrs. Yoker was an estimable lady and was held in very high esteem by all her friends and associates.  She was a careful and painstaking housewife and an excellent mother.
