Schune, Adolph (28 December 1879 - 5 June 1954) 
 

Adolph Alfred Schune, 74, of Granton, Rt. 2, died Saturday, June 5, 1954, at his Town of Grant farm home. 
 

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 8, from the Zion Lutheran Church at Granton, with the Rev. Arthur Oswald officiating.  Interment was in the church cemetery. 
 

The body reposed at the Georgas Funeral Home until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday when it was taken to the church until time of services. 
 

Mr. Schune, a retired farmer, was born December 28, 1879, in the Town of Grant to William and Johanna (Tischer) Schune and was a lifelong resident of Clark County.  He was born and lived on the same farm all his life.  His rural education was received in the schools of the Town of Grant.  He assisted his parents with work on the farm and after their deaths; he and his wife took over the farm.  His marriage to Emma Handke took place June 21, 1911, at the Granton Zion Lutheran Church.   Following their marriage they lived with his folks. 
 

He was a lifetime member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Granton. 
 

Survivors include his wife and two daughters, Lydia and Marcella, both at home, and his sister, Mrs. Oscar (Susan) Heisler, Milwaukee. 
 

Deceased members of his family are his parents, three sisters, Mrs. Anna Mahn, Mrs. Emma Gressler and Mrs. Mary Steinback, and two brothers, Ferdinand, who died in infancy and Herman. 
 

Pallbearers were Edward Schlinsog, Erwin Sternitzky, Edwin Sternitzky, Armin Moh, Arnold Sternitzky and Walter Trimberger. 
 

Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Edward Schlinsog, Mrs. Erwin Sternitzky, Mrs. Arnold Sternitzky and Mrs. Walter Trimberger. 
 

Persons from out of town attending the rites were: George White, Rhinelander; Ray Heisler, Milwaukee; Herman Smith, Rib Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Mike William, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Hahn, Mr. and Mrs. George Becker, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fitzl, all of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Shipper, Viroqua; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Zager and family, Wisconsin Rapids; and Mrs. Wilbur Cunbuland, Wisconsin Rapids.
