Rogus, Angeline (3 OCT 1954)

St. Nicholas Church, 2233 West Rice St., Chicago, Ill., was the setting for the wedding of Miss Angeline Rogus, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rogus of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Alex Szmigelski of Chicago, Ill.  The ceremony was performed oct. 3rd, 1954 at 3 o’clock with Rev. Victor Soroka officiating.

The bride, who was escorted to the altar by her father, wore a floor length gown of French imported lace and nylon side ruffles, with a lace fitted bodice and a sequin trimmed neckline, with long lace sleeves and full length train.  She wore a skull cap of sequins and beads.  The veil was edged in matching lace.  She carried a bouquet of orchids surrounded by white pompons.

Miss Sylvia Zopelis was her first bridesmaid and her second was Mrs. Stefany Dragan.  The attendants were all gowned in shrimp floor length strapless gown of net, lace and taffeta fashioned with a fitted net bodice and lace bolero.  Each carried a bouquet of yellow pompons tied with ribbons matching gowns.

Mr. Mike Jaworsky, friend of the groom, was the best man.  The other attendant was Jerry Dragan, also friend of the groom.  They all wore navy blue tuxedos.

The bride’s mother wore a navy blue lace and crepe dress with an orchid for a corsage.

A six o’clock dinner was held at Przybylo’s Hall at 2441 West Division St., Chicago, Ill., for about 150 guests.  The music consisted of a Polish orchestra.

The couple now reside at 2536 W. Iowa St., Chicago, Ill.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rogus, Mrs. John Lato and Mrs. Roman Leivenich, all of Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis.
