Quist, Charles (9 Nov. 1868 - 17 July 1958) 
 

Charles Quist, 89, died Thursday at his home at Owen. Funeral services were held at Hoeper & Kraut Funeral Home Sunday and burial was made at Turtle Lake.

Mr. Quist was born in Sweden Nov. 9, 1868. He and Christina Johnson were married June 23, 1892. 
 
He operated a farm between Abbotsford and Colby from 1920 to 1944 after which he retired and they moved to Owen.

His wife preceded him in death in 1957. Six children also preceded him in death.

Survivors are one son, Earl Quist, Duluth, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. George (Gertrude) Kowalk, Colby; Mrs. Otto (Mabel) Kowalk, and Mrs. Fred (Gladys) Baumgart, both of Owen; two grand children, Duane Baumgart, Marshfield; and Betty Kowalk, Milwaukee.
