McCarr Amelia (4 July 1876 - 4 December 1954) 
 

Mrs. Amelia Wiesner McCarr, 78, died early Saturday morning, December 4, 1954, in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Southern Pines, North Carolina.   
 

Mrs. McCarr was born July 4, 1876, in the Town of Sherwood, south of Neillsville.  She was the daughter of the late George and Sophia (Seif) Wiesner.  She grew to womanhood in Neillsville, was a graduate of the Neillsville High School and Stevens Point Teachers College and later taught at the Northside School in Neillsville until her marriage to Ned McCarr of Stevens Point, who died in 1949.  He was harness racer and the family made their home in the east for several years. 
 

Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. James (Mary) E. Monroe, Southern Pines; two sons, Kenneth McCarr, Columbus, Ohio; Adrian McCarr, Levittown, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Clara Winkes, Neillsville, and three grandchildren.
