Amacher, Carol (Marriage - 11 Oct. 1958)

In a candle light service, Saturday evening, at Christ Lutheran church, Miss Carol Amacher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Amacher, and Ronald Seth Graffunder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Graffunder, Medford, repeated their double ring marriage vows. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated at the 6:30 o’clock ceremony during which the Misses Dorothy and Marilyn Kieser sang "O Perfect Love," and Herbert Juneau sang "The Lord’s Prayer," and served as organist.

The bride, who was presented in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of embroidered nylon tulle, and net over satin, with a bouffant skirt of tiers of embroidered tulle. Sequins and pearls detailed the Sabrina neckline. A queen’s crown of rhinestones and pearls held her illusion veil. She wore a necklace which her mother wore at her own wedding. Amazon lilies, stephanotis and pink garnette roses were combined in a cascade arrangement to complete her ensemble.

Miss Barbara Barker, cousin of the groom, of Mayville, was maid of honor and Mrs. Harold Amacher and Mrs. Walter Graffunder, sister-in-law of the bridal couple, of Abbotsford, were bridesmaids. They wore floor length gowns of crystalette over taffeta in fall shades, and small veils held to pearl trimmed crowns to match. Miss Barker wore gold, Mrs. Amacher, green; and Mrs. Graffunder, capicine. They carried baskets of vari-colored chrysanthemums.

Roger Marg, of Schofield, cousin of the bride, was best man. Harold Amacher and Walter Graffunder were groomsmen and Donald Oehler, of Abbotsford, and Mark Amacher of Medford, were ushers.

To her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Amacher wore a Nile green, lace dress with matching hat and beige accessories. Her corsage was made of pink garnette roses. Pink and white carnations were used in the corsages of the two grand mothers, Mrs. Mary Scheeler and Mrs. Seth Barker.

Following the ceremony, supper was served in the church parlors and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

When the new Mr. and Mrs. Graffunder left on a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls, Mrs. Graffunder donned a sheath dress of wool plaid and pinned an orchid corsage to the shoulder line. She chose brown accessories.

On their return, they will make their home in Abbotsford. Both young people are graduates of the Abbotsford high school. Mrs. Graffunder has been employed at Wausau at Employers Mutuals, and Mr. Graffunder is employed at Medford by Harvey Company.

Guests at the wedding were from Mayville, Fond du Lac, Sauk City, Milwaukee, Unity, Schofield, Colby, Medford, Dorchester, Cazenovia, Reedsburg, Mazomanic, Minneapolis and Faribault, Minn.
