Helm, Ferdinand (? - 1955)

Ferdinand Helm was interred Tuesday in the cemetery of Zion Lutheran Church at Mapleworks. Services had preceded in the church, where Mr. Helm had been married September 16, 1889, to Laura Sternitzky.  Mrs. Sternitzky the bride of 65 years ago, had died July 3, 1953, and the bodies of the two were to lie side by side in the environs of their early union.

That union had generated four sons and five daughters, of whom all but one son, Elmer, survive their father.  The sons are Carl of Brillion, and Henry and Louis of the Granton community.  The daughters are: Mrs. Ben (Bertha) Garbisch, Mrs. Fred  (Elda) Bartz, Mrs. A. (Gertrude) Garbisch and Mrs. R. (Ardena) Nowack, all of Granton, and mrs. George (Anita) Guenther of Eau Claire.  Surviving also are 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; also a sister, Mrs. Bertha Glamm of Jackson.
