Hubbard, Martha J. (9 July 1875 - 15 March 1955) 
 

Mrs. Leslie (Martha J.) Hubbard, age 79, of Neillsville, R.1, died Tuesday, March 15, 1955, at her home west of the city. 
 

Funeral services were held Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. at the Georgas Funeral Home with the First Church of Christ Scientist, and Carmi Chapter No. 60, O. E. S. Neillsville in charge.  Mrs. Henry Dahnert, reader of the First Church of Christ Scientist and Mrs. Iris Randall, Worthy Matron of Carmi Chapter No. 60, O. E. S., conducted the services. 
 

The body was taken on Saturday to Janesville, where a graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m.  Reader, Mrs. Mary Dixon of Janesville, conducted the service.  Burial was in the Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville. 
 

Mrs. Hubbard was born July 9, 1875, at Halifax, England, to Walter and Elizabeth Ann (Bentley) Robinson.  She received her education in England and her first marriage took place there.  Her husband came to the United States and located in Cleveland, Ohio.  Mrs. Hubbard and her son arrived in this country later.  After the death of her husband she and her son moved to Janesville to be near their work, returning to Cleveland several years later and again moving back to Janesville.  On November 10, 1936, she was married to Leslie Hubbard at Janesville.  Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard retired and came to make their home west of Neillsville in April, 1946.  She had been ailing for the past several years. 
 

She is survived by her husband, Leslie and one son, John Parker, Croton-on-the-Hudson, N. Y. and two step-daughters, Mrs. Donald (Mildred) Kerr, Milton, Wis., and Mrs. Robert (Charlotte) Johnson, Plymouth, and one brother in England,  
 

Her parents, first husband, Mr. Parker, and several brothers and sisters in England have preceded her in death.  
 

She was a member of the Christian Science Church and the Woodworth Chapter O. E. S. of Cleveland, Ohio. 
 

Relatives attending Friday night services at the Georgas Funeral Home were: Mr. and Mrs. John Parker and Mrs. Anna Bichnell, Croton, N. Y.; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hubbard, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johnson and children, Plymouth; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kerr, Milton, Wis., Mrs. Lucille Shaw, Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Pickering, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Sanford, Sheldon; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Roneig, Gilman; and Mr. and Mrs. David Gallagher, Granton. 
 

Those from Neillsville attending graveside services were: Mr. Hubbard, Mr. and Mrs. John Parker, Croton, N. Y.; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hubbard, Chicago; and Mrs. Anna Bichnell, Croton, N. Y.
