Horn, Jane Ray (Marriage - 24 June 1955) 
 

Lt. (j. g.) Robert G. Scott and Miss Jane Ray Horn have completed plans for their marriage, an afternoon ceremony at 5:30 Saturday, June 25, in the First Methodist Church, Rome, Ga.  Dr. Samuel S. Daughtry will officiate.  Mrs. Ray Horn, mother of the bride, will entertain at a reception at Woodlee home of Mr. and Mrs. Perran Davis following the ceremony, for her daughter and Lt. Scott. 
 

Mrs. Samuel S. Daughtry, organist, and Mrs. Herbert Carlen, of Cookeville, Tenn., soloist, aunt of the bride, will present a program of wedding music. 
 

The bride’s uncle, William Turner Ray, of Monterey, Tenn., will give her in marriage and her only sister, Mrs. Howard E. Wilson, of Macon, Ga., will be her matron of honor.  Mrs. William Babb, Mrs. Joel K. Culpepper, Mrs. S. Wayne Van Zandt, of Rome, Ga., and Miss Doris Boswell, of Atlanta, Ga., will be bridesmaids and Emily Ray Alexander, young cousin of the bride, of Cookeville, Tenn., will be flower girl. 
 

James E. Scott, of Elgin, Ill., will serve his brother as best man.  Groomsmen will be Lt. Samuel A. Stephens, of Gladys, Va., Lt. (j. g.) Bruce J. Maguire, of Lansing Mich., Lt. (j. g.) Tom Thornbury, of Columbus, Ohio, and Ens. John Dern, Jr., of Winnetka, Ill.  Ushers will be Howard E. Wilson, of Macon, Ga., Harry Talkington, of Monterey, Tenn., Frank Alexander, of Cookeville, Tenn., and Jame F. Long of Cartersville, Ga. 
 

Several pre-nuptial courtesies have been planned for Miss Horn before her wedding. 
 

Mr. and Mrs. Jess Scott left for Georgia Monday to visit Robert a few days before the wedding.  James Scott will fly to Atlanta Thursday night. 
 

After the honeymoon, Robert and his bride plan to locate in Atlanta, Ga.
