Ives, Barbara (Marriage - 20 December 1955)

Barbara Ives of Neillsville became the bride of William J. Stucki in a double ring ceremony performed Tuesday evening at 7:30 at the Congregational Church.  At the candlelight service the Rev. Frank Harcey and the Rev. Ben J. Stucki, father of the groom, officiated before an altar decorated in harmony with the Christmas season.

The bride approached the altar on the arm of her father.  She was dressed in a medium blue velveteen dress with matching accessories and carried a wedding ring bouquet of Happiness roses.

Dawn Neilsen and David Stucki were the couple’s attendants.

Following the ceremony a reception for 65 guests was held in the church parlors, where the Christmas theme was carried out in the decorations.

Upon their return from a wedding trip they will be at home in Madison, where the groom is attending the University of Wisconsin.

The bride is a graduate of the Neillsville High School and attended Ripon College.  The groom is also a graduate of Neillsville High School and upon his graduation served four years in the navy.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John Rude and the Rev. and Mrs. Benjamin Stucki, all of Neillsville.

Ellis Wall as soloist, was accompanied at the organ by Mr. Jess Scott.  Mrs. Scott and Mrs. Robert Peters played an organ duet prior to the ceremony.

Mrs. August Kuehl of Marshfield attended her granddaughter’s wedding.
