Hantke, Ottillie (8 August 1871 - 30 May 1956) 
 

Mrs. Otillie Hantke, 84, of Rt. 4, Neillsville, died May 30 at her farm home of a heart attack. 
 

Ottillie Jacobt, daughter of the late Joseph and Ottillie (Dobkowitz) Jacobt, was born August 8, 1871, at Snyder, Nebr.  She received her education in Nebraska, and worked there until her marriage to Gustave, Wolf.  They made their home in La Crosse.  Mr. Wolf died in 1903. 
 

She continued to make her home in La Crosse until 1907, when she married Otto Hantke of Neillsville.  They came to the Town of Grant, where they farmed and where she had resided since.  Mr. Hantke preceded her in death in 1943. 
 

Mrs. Hantke was a member of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church of Neillsville. 
 

She is survived by two daughters, Miss Elsie Wolf, at home, and Mrs. Walter (Lillian) Klapper of Green Bay; one son, Tony Hantke of Neillsville; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 
 

Funeral services for Mrs. Hantke were held Saturday morning from the Bergemann Funeral Home.  The Rev. Albert Guthmiller, pastor of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiated.  Following services the body was taken to La Crosse for burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. 
 

Two songs, "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," were sung by Miss Sarah Albrecht, accompanied by Jane Dundas. 
 

Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased: Lester Buss; Douglas Hantke, Ervin, LaVerne, Orvald and Robert Klapper.  
 

Out of town relatives attending the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Klapper, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Klapper, Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Klapper, all of Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Klapper, Mr. and Mrs. Orvald Klapper, Menasha; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Buss, Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hantke, and Mrs. E. M. Krueger, Milwaukee; Mrs. William Novotny, Oshkosh; Oscar Hantke, Ironwood, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. I. O. Slocomb, Menomonie; Mrs. Hubert Beyer, Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Short, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kuechenmeister, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Garbisch, Mrs. Fred Bartz, all of Granton. 
 

The above relatives and the following attended graveside rites at La Crosse at which the Rev. Albert Guthmiller officiated: Miss Elsie Wolf, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Hantke, Miss Hilda Kurth and Mrs. Alfred Magnuson all of Neillsville; and the following of La Crosse: Mr. and Mrs. Steve Uhler, Mrs. Minnie Hoeth, Mr. and Mrs. George Konter, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schaldach, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schaldach, Mrs. F. A. Schaldach, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schaldach, Mr. and Mrs. William Wolf, Mr. and Mrs. George Wolf, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Dagendesh, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dagendesh, and Mrs. Anna Peters.
