Blood Bank Draw (1957) 
 

County Residents Draw 651 Pints from "Bank" -  
 

Clark County residents drew on the Red Cross Civilian blood bank for 651 pints of blood during 1956, it was revealed at a quarterly meeting of county chapter officers in Owen. 
 

Reports of committee chairmen also revealed that: 
 

A total of $214.50 was given by county residents for the Hungarian Relief Fund; 82 persons received the Red Cross home nursing course during the year; and that the Red Cross Bloodmobile is scheduled to visit Neillsville and Granton April 1 and 2. 
 

Chairman of the chapter is Pat Soderberg.  Committee chairmen are: home service, John M. Peterson of Neillsville; public information, Robert Elkins, Thorp; First-aid, C. A. Nelson, Colby; junior Red Cross, Russell Drake, Neillsville; and blood program, Mrs. M. V. Overman, Neillsville.
