For over 35 years, he was an Independent Truck Driver most recently employed with Barningham Trucking in Milwaukee.

He was a member of ABATE and the NRA. His passion was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles and lived by "It’s Not The Destination, It’s The Journey" philosophy. R.J. was a founding member of the Harley Davidson Museum and he played an important role in making the Harley Museum a reality. He also loved to tinker with steam engines.

He is survived by his three daughters, Angela S. (Pat Hayes) Miller of Weyauwega, Amanda J. (Jerry Gooch) Miller of Navarre, Fla., and Rebecca A. (Jason Rolens) Miller of Kenosha; his grandson, Aiden A. Rolens; his twin sister, Sandra J. Miller of Wausau; his sister, Donna M. Smith of Onalaska; his brother, Jack A. Miller of Milwaukee; and his friend, Bev Cronin of Kenosha.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Dan Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 26, at 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances directed to the family for distribution to R.J.’s favorite charities would be appreciated.
