Methodist, Loyal (W. S. C. S. - 21 August 1958)

The W. S. C. S. met in the Methodist church last Thursday evening program leaders were Mrs Harold Hills and Mr. W. I. Mack.  Miss Florence Garbush and Miss Juliann Vajgrt gave a playlet, and Mrs. Chester Smith gave a reading.  Following the program the president, Mrs. Clyde Grambsch conducted the business session. It was suggested that the program always precede the business meeting.

A vote prevailed to have a turkey supper and bazaar Wednesday, October 1. It was voted to loan the Methodist Youth Fellowship $27 needed by their society.  It was decided to take a Korean gift collection at each meeting.

Mrs. Roy Hales, supply secretary, gave a report of supplies sent where needed.  Three boxes of clothing went to the Odanah Indians, eight boxes to St. Louis, seven quilts to Alaska, five bags hospital supplies to Africa, also some money and a box of Christmas gifts and magazines to the Clark County Hospital at Owen.

The Young Adult Society sent two boxes of clothing and a Christmas box to the Navajo Indians, and three "Care" packages, and the M. Y. F. collected a box of old eyeglasses.

Hostesses were: Mrs. George Rowley, Mrs. Harold Hills, Mrs. Garth Luchterhand, Mrs. L. G. Anderson, Mrs. J. R. Steiner, and Mrs. Jack Krueger.
