Loppnow, Grace (Marriage - 24 August 1958) 
 

A very pretty wedding took place in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc Sunday, August 24, at 2:30 p.m., when Grace Loppnow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Loppnow, Rt. 3, Oconomowoc, became the bride of Duane Olson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Olson of Milwaukee, former Humbird residents. The Rev. C. H. Clausing performed the ceremony in a church decorated with garden flowers. 
 

The soloist was Mr. Elmer Abendroth, who sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and "The 23^rd Psalm," with Mrs. Aufdenberge as accompanist at the organ. 
 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white floor-length gown of embroidered tulle, a draped scooped neckline, and short full cap sleeves.  The bouffant skirt was detailed in back with a cascade of ruffles. Her circular veil of pure silk English illusion was held in place by a queen crown of pearls entwined with folds of illusion. 
 

Mrs. Jane Ebert, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and wore a dress of blue nylon taffeta with a scoop neckline and full cap sleeves.  Miss Betty Ducklow and Miss Caroline Degner, bridesmaids, wore gowns identical to that of the matron of honor.  All wore blue picture hats with roses on the crown and matching satin ribbon bows. 
 

Little Diane Ebert, niece of the bride, was flowergirl, and little Larry Olson, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.  
 

Dale Olson of Jackson, Mich., acted as best man, and Donald Olson of California, and Lamar Hardwick of Humbird were groomsmen.  John and Fred Loppnow, brothers of the bride, ushered.  
 

The bride’s mother wore a blue crepe suit with white accessories. The groom’s mother wore a dress of pink lace and white accessories, and both wore corsages of pink and white carnations. 
 

A dinner was held following the ceremony for the immediate family and close friends, and a reception was held in the American Legion Hall in Oconomowoc. 
 

After a wedding trip to the Black Hills, the couple will reside at 811 South St. Oconomowoc.  The bride is a graduate of St. Paul’s Lutheran School and Oconomowoc High School, and the groom attended Lincoln High School in Alma Center. 
 

Guests who attended from away were from Watertown, Sullivan, Dousman, Waukesha, Hartford, Milwaukee, Menomonee Falls, Humbird, Neillsville, Black River Falls, Michigan and California.
