Hawley, Dawn (21 JUNE 1947)

 

At a nuptial high mass celebrated by the Rev. Aloys Zinthefer at St. Anthony’s Catholic church on Saturday, June 21, Miss Dawn Marcelione Hawley of Loyal, daughter Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hawley of Marshfield, became the bride of Anthony James Schlagenhaft, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Schlagenhaft Sr. of Loyal.

 

The bride wore a lace and marquisette gown and a lace edged fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of red roses.

 

The bride was attended by Miss Margaret Schlagenhaft, sister of the groom, as maid of honor, and Miss Sue Ann Hawley, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, Miss Schglagenhaft

 Wore pink nylonette with a lace brocaded top, and Miss Hawley wore blue chiffon. Both carried pink and white carnations.

 

The best man was Robert Schlagenhaft, brother of the groom, and the groomsman was Wilbur Hawley of Granton, cousin of the bride.

 

Doreen and Dale Hawley, twin sister and brother of the bride, were the flower girl and ringbearer, respectively. Doreen wore pink chiffon and carried a minitature of the bride’s bouquet, while her brother, who wore a white suit, carried the rings in a calla lily.

 

A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the groom’s parents, with the wedding dinner and supper at the home of the bride’s parents in Marshfield. Over 400 guests attended the reception also held there. A dance honoring the couple was given in Longwood in the evening.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Schlagehaft will reside here after they return from their honeymoon.

 

The groom, who graduated from the Loyal high school in 1942, is employed as a truck driver by the O. W. Trindal Co. His bride, who graduated from the Loyal high school with the class of 1946 has been employed since by the Citizens State Bank of Loyal.

 

To the newlyweds,The Loyal Tribune extends its wishes for a long and happy married life.
