Turner, Louise (2 Mar 1887 - 13 May 1912)

Louise, wife of Ray Turner, died Monday, May 13, at her home in Norway, Mich., from an attack of appendicitis.  Mrs. Turner was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. Dangers and was born in this city March 2, 1887.  Her childhood and girlhood was spent in Neillsville and in 1906 she graduated from high school.  Two years later she graduated from the normal college at Ypsilanti, Mich., in the drawing and musical course.  The following year she filled the position of supervisor of music and art in the public schools at Belding, Mich.  After spending the next years at home, she was united in marriage on Nov. 30, 1910, to Mr. Ray Turner, a rising, young attorney of Norway, Mich., and since her marriage she has been a resident of that city, where she became a general favorite in a large circle of acquaintances.

Mrs. Turner was taken with a sudden attack of appendicitis.  Her mother went to Norway Sunday, arriving at her bedside a few hours before she passed away.  The remains were brought here accompanied by Mr. Turner and Mr. and Mrs. Dangers, and Mrs. Turner was laid to rest in the family lot in the Neillsville cemetery last Thursday afternoon.  Services were held at the residence and at the grave and were conducted by Rev. Walters of Marshfield.  The pall bearers were Adolph Unger, Geo. Zimmerman, Carl Rabenstein, W.A. Campman, C.R. Sturdevant and L. Williamson, the three former of whom were school mates of the deceased.

The death of Mrs. Turner caused a universal pang of sorrow and regret in this city, for she was well known and sincerely liked here.  She was accomplished in many ways and her bright and cheery disposition and winsome manners endeared her in the hearts of the greater portion of the young people of the city.  Mrs. Turner is survived by her husband, parents, two brothers and four sisters.  Those who attended the funeral from away were: J.C. Turner and Anthony Brackett of Norway, Mich.; Arthur Frankenberg of West Bend; Mrs. Wm. Constance of St. Paul; Mr. and Mrs. Eppling of Sheboygan; Dr. and Mrs. Churchill of Milwaukee.
