Pfeiffer, Julie (Marriage - 6 June 1981)

After a Tennessee wedding trip, the new Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Karl will be making their home on East Seventh Street in Neillsville.

The couple Julie Pfeiffer and Ivan Karl was united in marriage on the early afternoon of Saturday, June 6, at Pine Valley Lutheran Church.  The Rev. Maynard Stokka officiated.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Pfeiffer, 119 Park St. Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Karl, Rt. 4, Neillsville.

Serving as matron of honor was Darlene Kuehnel, a sister of the bride from Neillsville.  She was joined in the bride’s party by Valerie Smith of Wausau and Kelly Christie of Eau Claire, both friends of the bride.

On the groom’s side, Milan Karl, a brother of the groom from Marshfield, was best man.  He was joined by Dave Steiger of Rhinelander and Neal Lonning of Neillsville, both friends of the groom.  Ushering were Dale Pfeiffer, a brother of the bride from Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Walter Karl, the groom’s cousin of Neillsville.

Special music at the service included "The Wedding Song," and "Follow Me," offered by Rich Wegner and Jerry Pfeiffer.

The bride chose an entrained gown of organza and lace.  She wore a Camelot headpiece with full-length veil and carried a bouquet of miniature carnations, sweetheart roses and baby’s breath.  Her attendants wore gowns in rainbow colors and carried bouquets of carnations and baby’s breath.  The groom and his attendants were attired in tailed, light grey tuxedos.

A reception was held at the Wildcat Inn with a dance following at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and is employed at the Neillsville Bank. The groom graduated from the same school and is employed by Russell’s Hardware and Furniture in Neillsville.
