York, Viola (2 June 1912)

The marriage of Charles Gilman and Miss Viola York occurred last Sunday at Janesville.  The attending couple was Judge Schoengarth of this city and Miss Bessie York.  The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. Chas. Butters of Viroqua.  Mr. and Mrs. Gilman arrived here Monday for a brief visit before going to their home at Friendship.

Mr. Gilman is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gilman of this city and is a rising young attorney of Friendship.  Mr. Gilman is a graduate of the public schools and of the law school of the state university.  He is most favorably known here and his progress and success in life has been watched by his friends here with a great degree of satisfaction.  He is the present district attorney of Adams county and a young man in whom the greatest degree of confidence can safely be imposed.  His bride is a resident of Janesville and while not having a large acquaintance here, she has impressed those who have met her most favorably.
