Pozega, Dorothy #2 (17 MAY 1925-11 MARCH  2010)

 

Dorothy J. Pozega, 84, Willard, died on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Saint Josrph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, March 16, at the Gesche Funeral Home, Neillville. Burial was in the Willard Cemetery. Casket bearerd were her grandsons, Jeremy Pozega, Jason Pozega, Brent Diercks, Kevin Binkley and Kody Binkley.

 

Dorothy J. Olson was born on May 17, 1925, at home in Fairchild, to Andrew and Amanda (nee Kottke) Olson. She married Frank Pozega on March 4, 1945, in Neillsville. After getting married, she helped on the farm and worked as a housewife, raising their children. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, cooking, baking, canning and shopping. Her favorite place to eat was Kentucky Fried Chicken.

 

Survivors include her children, David (Sue) Pozega, Hugo, Minn., Frank Pozega, Duluth, Minn., Gary Pozega, Willard, Duane (Pat) Pozega, Neillsville, Tommy (Laurie) Pozega, Willard, Lori (Mike) Binkley, Glenwood City, and Dawn Pozega, Willard; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, David (Carolyn) Olson, Fairchild; and five sisters, Laura Obermeier, Wausau, Betty Pickett, Wausau, Ida (Robert) Sessions, Athens, Almeda Atheron, Black River Falls, and Patricia (DuWane) sessions, Marathon.

 

Preceding her in death were her husband, Frank; a son, Kenneth; and a daughter-in-law, Polly.
