Mrs. George Kelley received a letter Wednesday from her husband, written on March 12, stating that as he was being moved from the hospital to a tent, he met Lt. Ruth Perry, a nurse, formerly of Abbotsford. Pvt. Kelley, fighting somewhere in Germany, was wounded on February 25 and was hospitalized somewhere in France. A letter form him was written from the hospital on March 3, reached Mrs. Kelley before the official war department telegram. Pvt. Kelley will receive the Purple Heart medal.
