Hemp, Clara Minnie Alma (6 September 1907 - 6 April 2010) 
 

Clara Hemp, 102, of Neillsville, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville. 
 

Clara Minnie Alma Hemp was born Sept. 6, 1907, in the Town of Weston, Clark County, the daughter of Charles and Hulda (Marg) Poppe.  She was baptized in the Town of Weston and confirmed March 20, 1921, at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Globe.  Clara taught school for four years and then was united in marriage to Leo Hemp June 12, 1929, at the Immanuel Church in Globe. 
 

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church’s Ladies Aid. 
 

Clara is survived by a daughter, Vivian Bohnsack of Neillsville; two grandchildren, Joan (Roger) Buchholz of Christie and Karen (Dennis) Radue of Hewett; five great-grandchildren, Alan Buchholz, Candi (Dale) Shirk, Laura Buchholz, Zach Radue and Karina Radue; and two great-great-grandchildren, Abigail Shirk and Megan Shirk. 
 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; her parents; one great-grandchild, Brian; one great-great-grandchild, Alexander; a son-in-law, Lawrence Bohnsack; and five sisters. 
 

A Memorial service for Clara was held at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville.  Pastor John Warmuth officiated.  Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.  Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the church.
