At a nuptial high mass celebrated at St. Anthony’s Catholic church at 8:30 Saturday morning. Oct. 25, Miss Kathleen Hoesly, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Baltz Hoesly of route one, Granton, became the bride of Donald Degenhardt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Degenhardt of Loyal. The Rev. Fr. Aloys Zinthfer was celebrant.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown, with long fitted sleeves, a high sheer neckline embroidered with small pearls, and a large bustle was followed by a train. Her French mist fingertip veil fell from a crown of pearl orange blossoms. She carried a white lace handkerchief, a gift from a friend, and a white bead rosary, a gift of the groom.

She was attended by Miss Angeline Saraceno of Chicago, as maid of honor, and by Miss Marion Barnes of Greenwood, Miss Virginia Hoesly, her sister, and Miss Christine Gregorich of Chicago. Miss Nancy Degenhardt, sister og the groom, acted as flower girl.

The bride’s attendants wore identical gowns with American Beauty velvet tops and white taffeta skirts, with large ruffles down the back. The flower girl wore a white satin gown with a net overskirt, trimmed with American Beauty ribbon on the bustle and bottom of the skirt.

The bride’s arm bouquet was made up of large chrysanthemums. Her attendants carried colonial style bouquets, made up with large white chrysanthemums in the center and small baby mums around it. The flower girl carried a small colonial bouquet of baby mums.

The groom was attended by his brother, Albert Degenhardt, as best man, and by Irvin Hoesly, brother of the bride, Kenneth Degenhardt, brother of the groom and William Miller, cousin of the bride. Harvey Miller of Marshfield, cousin of the groom, acted as ring bearer.

The groom, his attendants and the ring bearer wore tuxedos and white carnation boutonnieres. The mothers of the bride and groom both wore black dresses, with gray accessories, and had corsages of mums.

Alan Sorenson of Chicago and Claude Bichler of Loyal acted as ushers.

A dinner and reception were held in the church parlors for about 75 guests. Following the reception, a wedding dance in honor of the bride and groom was held at the Silver Dome, near Neillsville.

Those from away who attended the wedding were: Mrs. Charles Bolt and Mr. and Mrs. James Vogel of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. William Michalski, Mr. and mrs. Leo Michalski and Mrs. Eddie Miller, all of Marshfield; Jake Hoesly and family, ASnne Hoesly, Amelia Hoesly and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller, all of Neillsville, and Andy Anderson of Chicago.

The groom graduated from the Loyal high school with the class of 1944 and attended the Eau Claire State Teachers college prior to his employment as a requisition clerk with the Corn Products Refining Co. in Argo, Ill. The bride graduated from the Greenwood high school in 1944.

The newlyweds will reside at 6320 South Normal boulevard, Chicago.
